Google Earth Companion allows recording data from your GPS receiver in KML format for further use with Google Earth. All recorded data can be sent to PC or used with Google Earth. Moreover this application allows using your GPS receiver in a very efficient way for different navigation tasks. It also allows recording tracks and creating waypoints and much more.
Basic terms and concepts:
Bluetooth GPS receiver
a device that receives signal from a satellite and sends it via bluetooth to your device. To choose and activate GPS receiver, select Options - Misc - GPS. In GPS dialog check GPS ON and select Address
Waypoint
a point with coordinates, name and description. Waypoints dialog offers the possibility to send it as KML to another device or your PC
Track
a totality of coordinates that can be saved during movement. Tracks dialog allows choosing and sending a track in KML format to another device or your PC
Google Earth
